PRODUCT INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

  • See the Gen 2 3MR installation video HERE.

  • WE RECOMMEND ALL INSTALLATIONS OF THIS TRIGGER BE CARRIED OUT BY A COMPETENT GUNSMITH AND WITH THE WEAPON UNLOADED AND POINTED IN A SAFE DIRECTION. FAILURE TO FOLLOW THIS RECOMMENDATION MAY RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY AND/OR DEATH.

Please see product details for frame compatibility.

    TRIGGER INSTALLATION:

-Remove the slide from the frame.

-Remove assembly pins, slide stop, locking block and set aside the OEM trigger. Retain the assembly pins, slide stop assembly and locking block, as they will be reinstalled.

-Install the PRG-1 into your frame. Take care to ensure the housing components are retained in their original configuration when installing the PRG-1 into the frame. Ensure the housing is seated snugly into the frame.

    -Reinstall the trigger housing pin.

-Reinstall the locking block and locking block pin.

-Reinstall the slide stop. Align trigger and slide stop and reinstall trigger pin.

    SLIDE COMPONENT INSTALLATION

    -Remove back plate.

-Slide striker and extractor depressor plunger out.

-Remove extractor, striker safety plunger and striker safety plunger spring. Take care to retain the striker safety plunger spring, as it will be reused with Delta V’s included striker safety plunger.

-Install the PRG-1 striker safety plunger. ***NOTE*** the PRG-1 striker safety plunger is directional. The marker arrow should be installed pointing forward towards the muzzle. Install the OEM plunger spring in the cup of the striker safety plunger. Ensure the striker safety plunger spring stays seated in the plunger when installing and replace into the slide.

-Retain the striker safety plunger with the extractor.

    -Reinstall the striker and spring.

-The PRG-1 assembly includes a red back plate. It is not required for the PRG-1 to function, but we highly recommend utilizing it as a visual safety indicator that the pull-and-release trigger is installed and, therefore, the weapon will fire a round on release of the trigger in addition to pulling the trigger.

    -Install the backer plate.

-Ensure the guide rod and spring are installed correctly.

-Install the slide on the frame and function check the trigger.

-The PRG-1 should be pull and release dry-fire cycled approximately 100 times prior to live fire to allow components to break-in.

-TIP: Contrary to typical practical pistol shooting fundamentals, we do not recommend “riding the trigger” forward to reset. The PRG-1 functions best when the user allows the reset to occur fully and quickly.

    1. Make sure the surface and threads are clean and free of debris. Apply a light coat of oil or grease to the adapter plate to prevent rusting.

    2. Apply a drop of Loctite 222 on the internal threads and on the included fastener threads. Loctite 222 (purple) is recommended. Do NOT use red, green or blue thread locker.

    3. Using the supplied fasteners/hardware, install the optic and adapter plate. The fasteners should be torqued to 10-13 in/lbs using a reliable torque wrench. **Please note, for AP-G-010-A, use the hardware that came with your optic.

    4. Allow the Loctite to cure for 24 hours.

    1. Choose where you’d like to mount the Ares, considering the position of your primary optic and accessories.

    2. Ensure your optic, the Ares and fasteners are clean and free of debris.

    3. Apply a small amount of purple Loctite (222) to the optic fastener threads.

    4. Using a reliable torque wrench, mount your optic to the Ares. If you are mounting an optic directly (not Picatinny), refer to your optic manufacturer’s torque specs. Do not exceed 20 in/lbs.

    5. Apply Loctite 222 to the rail clamp screw and install the Ares Mount at your chosen location. It may be necessary to loosen the optic adjustment gear while you are placing the Ares Mount. Torque the Picatinny rail clamp to 55 in/lbs.

    6. If you have not already, loosen the gear adjustment. Remove the fastener and apply a small amount of Loctite 222 to the threads.

    7. Re-install the fastener and adjust the angle of your optic to your preferred position.

    8. Ensure the gear is properly engaged and torque the gear adjustment fastener to 30 in/lbs.

    9. Allow Loctite to cure for 24 hours.

  • Remove existing muzzle device and clean the threading, if applicable.

Ensure the Xenos’ locking collar is spun completely forward. Please note the locking collar is left-hand threaded. Install the Xenos all the way onto the muzzle, until it comes to a stop. Unscrew the Xenos so that the small, circular top port is at the 12 o’clock position of the rifle, then unscrew it an additional five-10 degrees. Spin the locking collar towards the rifle until it contacts the rifle’s barrel. Snug by hand.

Using a tool such as a screw driver or Allen as leverage through the ports of the Xenos, re-tighten it so that the top port is once again at the rifle’s 12 o’clock position. The LH threading of the locking collar will ensure a tight fit; it is unnecessary to further tighten it with a wrench.
